Vétérimed's approach consists of working with farmers' organizations, producers' organizations, women's organizations and youth organizations in order to gradually improve traditional livestock systems, increasing their sustainability and profitability.

It is not a question of proposing unacceptable changes to small producers, socially, technically or financially, but of building viable alternatives with them, while strengthening organizational capacities.
